Hi all,
There has been talk of me possible starting 'induction' today (starting with the gel pessary) I am a little concerned as i have been told by other people that it will be really painful and body probably not ready yet so could go into complications and more likely to have c- section....any one have a good story to tell ?!!
Its a 50% chance they may do this once they have done there various scans and tests today so fingers crossed they can leave me a little while longer. (i have already had membrane sweep which doesnt seem to have done anything..)

with my third. There was no need for prostaglandin and it only involved breaking waters which was fine. With the 4th was a couple of days underdue and had an awful time with the prostaglandin. Had a really painful 24 hours (not labour, but similar enough to take your breath away). This remained till they broke waters and I had a baby 42 mins later. This has left me thinking that if your at all overdue it will be fine as baby ready to come and if underdue a bit more persuasion is needed. Anyway, you might have a baby by now, or just about to!!!
Good Luck

Hey Lou,
I was induced on my due date, was inducement went really well for me, the only real downfall was that I didnt get many brakes with the contractions and that they came strong and very close together as soon as they broke my waters.
But 7 hours from water breaking to holding my baby was really good!
feel free to pm me for any more questions hun.
