More in common. I was born Dec too. I reckon I won't get out for years as it's not fair on the parent left at home with the babies being so young. Maybe not, if we get a good routine established but dunno when we'll ever get out as couple now.

When there's a wee girl visiting they stare at me and give me evils. When there's a wee boy in I find it easy to engage them and they will chat to me but the girls hate me and I'm not too keen on them either. I barred one of my friends daughter, couldn't cope with her mentalness, tho that was more to do with friends parenting I'm sure.

Anyway, if this is a girl it will be hard to tell as it will be wearing all of Charlie's sleepy suits and baby gros. With this many kids, who can afford new just so they're pink?

What're you calling your new son (looked at your pics, they're so cute, they all look like exact same differences in heights, big bigger biggest etc.)

"Can siblings share mattresses?"

I know that all cot death prevention advice tells you not to use anyone else's mattress for your baby and any time I have given baby stuff away, prams, cradles, cots etc, I've always thrown out the mattress and told them to buy one. In my workplace we give out donations but always buy clients a brand new mattress too. I was wondering if anyone knew if this rule still applied in the case of sibling as in a few weeks I will have 2 babies under 1 year old, therefore cradle mattress is till very new and fresh as is cot and moses basket.
I don't mind shelling out money in the interests of safety, just wondered if necessary or not?

I wouldnt worry too much about brothers and sisters using the same mattresses. I am expecting baby no 5 in July and have used all the same mattresses with mine. I wouldnt use other peoples though. All my boys have been close in age (eldest just gone 7) so basically the mattresses have always been in use.

So personally I wouldnt bother forking out more money but its up to you.

Take care

I'm sure I was told that this was ok years ok. Just checkin. Thanks. You've got 4 sons as well? And having a 5th son? I don't no if having a 5th son, I like the surprise (not that it is anymore, 'You have yet another son' lol) I don't mind, you don't miss what you've never had. Getting bit annoyed when folk say is this you trying for your girl. I just say no this is because I had unprotected sex 5 minutes after Charlie was born.
My oldests is 17 tho, not 7. Do you ever get a bit of quiet or do you have to leave the house for that? Big families are nice.

People drive me insane with the comments about I bet you were trying for a girl. I just say that I have always wanted a big family and I am grateful to have 4 (nearly 5) healthy boys.

I am going out to the meadery tonight with my sis-in-law/best mate. Its the 1st time I have had an evening out since my birthday in December! I do get peace and quiet like in the afternoons when I drop my 3 year old to pre school and my youngest goes to sleep.

All my friends who have girls say to me you must need your head reading if you want a girl. I have seen my friends girls throw major tantrums over something really silly or if they dont get their own way they go nuts. I am such a laid back person and so are my boys that if I did ever have a girl I think it would throw us all out of sync.

With my last 2 I fell pregnant on the pill, so didnt quite plan to have them that close together but am so glad it worked out that way.

Not too long to go for you now. Hope all goes well.

Take care

Sarah

Not too sure on the name for him yet. Think we might just wait till he pops out.

My neice is just an absolute nightmare. When I look after her she is quite good but as soon as mum comes back she is like a different child. But like you say Im not sure if thats to do with her parenting skills.

I will try to enjoy tonight. Probably be sooo tired that I wont even want to go out.

Take care

Sarah
