"Hiya..." Posted by staceymy 9 May at 16:01
How much does he weigh?? They say they should be having have of what they weigh... eg 10lb so should be having 5oz (obviously it doesnt always work)
I would up his feeds to 5oz. Try not to put him on hungrey baby milk until the last resort cos it causes constipation and sickness. Babies feed often cos they only have tiny bellys that need filling constantly.
Also are you sure hes hungrey?? I used to think Olivia was hungrey all the time when she started moaning but i finaly realised it was attention and sleep she wanted. Even her nappy sometimes. It will come to you very soon and you will realise what means what.
Hope this helps. Congrats on your little one =] Stacey & 19wk Old Olivia x x x

"Hey.." Posted by staceymy 9 May at 16:37
Olivia used to drink 3-4oz up and till bout 3wks. i then put her upto 5oz (even tho she wasent really hungrey and the mw had a go at me! saying they only have small tummys) but she was drinking all of 4oz.
I think little lads can be greedy. You could up him upto 5oz and give him some cooled boiled water in between. If hes still wanting more then put him on hungrey milk. They say if they are drinking there bottles dry then up them up a oz.
Hope this helps x x x

"Give more milk" Posted by 5reloaded5 10 May at 00:30
I've always been told that's it's difficult to overfeed at this age, as baby will either not drink anymore or will be sick (which distresses you more than them, it's only them rejecting something). Therefore, I think you're right to try upping an oz, no harm done. Hungry baby milk not recommended until all else has failed and I've always been told to give more and more normal milk rather than switching, as previous post says it usually causes other probs. If anyone is trying this make sure tub says hungry baby and not stage 2 which is for older babies with better equipped developed stomachs. (I no that sounds really obvious but I done it with one of mine mistaking it for milk for a hungrier baby)
