"Paranoid!!"

Hi I'm nearly 15 weeks pregnant and I am still paranoid, checking for blood every time I go to the loo. I had bad cramps at the beginning too but unless they're accompanied by bleeding I wouldn't worry. I get a bad pain at the very base of my spine if I'm sitting on a hard chair for too long - it's your bones softening up preparing for labour!

hi im 7 weeks tomorrow, and getting a full nights sleep at the mo would be lovely. i think its partly emotions, excitment and the constant need for a bloody wee!!! that is getting me up. ive been getting cramps but have been reassured its all normal, also if u r due on cramps and period pains r normal. the cramps r also a way of ur body telling u to sit down and take it easy. the first 12 weeks r so worrying. enjoy the excuse and relax!!
take care x x x

Hi, Becky.
Are you due the same day as me? September 14th? Im 9 weeks on Friday so you must be further along that you think?! The weeks are counted from the first day of your last period, not from conception. So are you actually 9 weeks tomorrow instead of 7 ?! x

"Paranoia definately brings on the symptoms..."

I find many people enjoy the excitement, drama and 'differentness' that comes with being pregnant. I don't know if it is cooincidence or if it is a 'chicken & egg' sitution, but these people tend to have more symptoms.

I am a really practical person, I don't like to complain, I like to just get on with things. Maybe it is luck or fate, but I have had barely any pregnancy symptoms to speak of...

I must admit, now I am 8 months pregnant I am starting to take a bit of strain, sleeping is not comfortable (plus its middle of a tropical humid summer here, and we don't have aircon), I can't wear my rings, I can't wear a lot of my shoes comfortably, everynow & again my back aches. Oh and my skin has been spotty for months. Thats actually been the most annoying thing! But up until a month ago.... life went on and everythign was normal (just had a big stomach). Also in early pregnancy (around 6-8 weeks) I was very tired, and I needed extra sleep. So I slept a lot.

BUT - What has annoyed me THE MOST is people assuming because you are pregnant you are somehow 'less capable'. People think you have suddenly become physically feeble or useless, can't remember things, or are ruled by your hormones. Its like when you become pregnant people feel you have lost all conscious control of you mind and body!
To all those people, repeat after me "I'M NOT SICK I'M PREGNANT!!!".

I must admit - I have been lucky, many people have serious health problems or complications related to their pregnancy. But they are in the minority and they are not paranoid - they are handling a serious health issue as advised by their health care pracititioner!
"Oh yes"

I'm just the same!!!
Seem to have spent a few weeks sleeping, now can't sleep.
Spend all my time thinking that I'm going to loose the baby. My husband tells me to stop worrying, but you just can't.
The back ach seems to have started this weekend, and is sometimes really bad.
Just keeping my fingers crossed, and keep hoping that everything will be OK!!!
Good Luck,
x.
