Hiya Girls,

Hope you and your bumps are doing well. I'm having such a mare getting online it's driving me nuts. Anyway, I've managed to sneak a few mins on at my mother in laws and I have a question.

I've been told by the MW that my baby is breech at the moment. She's been in the same posiiton for about 6 weeks now and although she's very active, she's showing no sign of turning yet.

I have to go back in a few weeks for them to see if she's moved, they'll give me a scan and if she hasnt they'll try and turn her. Failing this I'm being booked in for a c-section. I'm 33+6wks at the mo, has anyone had this and had the baby turn in time for a natural birth? Or are there any tips on getting baby to turn? I always wanted to have this baby naturally, so I'll be really dissapointed if I have to go under the knife.

Any help would be great.

Love

My baby was also breech until about 34 weeks then she turned on her own, i didnt even notice!

The midwife wasnt concerned at all and said they can tun them selves round even at 37 weeks, hopfeully yours will turn soon when she realises shes top heavy!!!

Going on all fours and swimming apparently helps, i did this and not sure if it was this that turned her?

good luck!

Im only 26 weeks so quite a bit behind you girls.

I was told that turning the baby can be quite a painful thing, if my baby is breech im gonna tell them to go ahead with the c section rather than turning it!

Hope whatever happens everyhting is ok.

my first baby was breech until she decided to turn at 37 weeks and god did it feel uncomfrotable, it made me feel so sick.

didnt do anything to make her turn she did it all by herself.

dont worry baby may flip around soon

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know that I was told few weeks ago that my baby was breech... Went to my midwife yesterday and she has told me that he has turned and is now head down - don't panic like I was!! I had been dreaming about C-Sections etc... and really freaking myself out! Just hope that the little bump decides to stay where he is and let me go about this in the natural way! I managed it with my daughter and can't wait to do it again... Mad or what, ha ha!!!

Take care + good luck. Jo + boy bump 36 weeks today! x

Hi Sarah,

I'm a bit behind you, and am in the same boat. My little un's head is right under my rib cage and it is a nightmare driving and sitting upright sometimes. My midwife showed me a chart and at 30 weeks she said that about 30% of pregnancies are breech, I can't remember how far she said to me though before they would have me in for a c-section.

I'm not too fussed either way, just whatever is right for the baby. I don't like the sound of someone trying to turn it either. The midwife said this to me as well, she said they could turn the baby, but it could just return back to the postion it was comfortable in!

Also, the later on in the pregnancy, the less chance of turning as there isn't the space for them to do it.

I wouldn't feel dissapointed about having the c-section....at least you'll know your baby's birthday and you can plan things, rather than getting taken by surprise!

Sorry not been much help, but please keep updating your post so I know how it's all going for you.

......you could always try a scary ride at Alton Towers, if that doesn't make your little one do a couple of circles in your tummy, nothing will!!

Love Jen

I live on my gym ball - it's so comfy. I guess in the end, what will be will be. As long as she's safe, I'll be happy. We'll keep our fingers crossed though.

Good luck.

Hello there,
Sorry for buuting in on this thread but its really nice to hear from other people who are in the same boat lol. I am 35wks pregnant and babe is a footling breech. I to have become permantly attached to my gym ball lol. Just wanted to wish you all luck in babe's turning. I am going to think positive and hope babe turns soon. We have a scan next wednesday to check and then they are going to try and turn it.....eeeekkkk.

Where babe is foot first they say we cant have a natural birth at all. I didnt realise how different carrying babe is in this position , it can be quite rough when its kicking you in the bits lol!
If anyone has anymore handy hints it would be great.
Take care here's to babies being head down!
