Hello

me again

Thomas is 5 days old and find comfort in sucking his fingers but gets wind due to this so we invested in a dummy which he loves. He however has become very sleepy and would sleep all day if i let him,

im concerned as surely he should wake up for feeds, or just sleep for no more then 4 hours??

I was breast feeding and topping up with formula but today he hasn't fed from me at all so Ive woken him after 6 hours of napping to give him a bottle as I dont think he would have woken at all,

he is still doing dirty nappies,

My oh thinks im over-reacting but i feel that I should be more knackered then this and he should be waking for food??

any advice would be great!!

I would definatly not leave him for more than 5 hours in the day without a feed. Also dont wake him in the night for a feed as he will get used to it.
Some babies sleep through from birth so dont worry bout him getting dehydrated through the night.

Babies do sleep alot in the first few weeks. Make the most of it by napping etc.

Take care
