2 weeks paid paternity leave and he has 50 days in which he can choose to take it after the baby is born. He does work for the HM Goverment and if they dont know what your intitled to who does, but he has worked for them now for 10+yrs.

Hope this helps..?

My partner had only been at his current job for 11months when i had Olivia and they paid him 2wks paternity pay (not alot think it was £120 or something a week.) They have to be there so many weeks then they are entitled to it. Go on the job centre website that should tell you more and get in contact with them.

Hope this helps

if you type paternity leave into your search engine and then hit the direct gov site it brings up on the results that'll give you all the info you need. Hope you manage to get it sorted hun, take care.

i think if your employer doesn't pay you you have to claim it statutory paternity pay which is about the same as maternity i think best people to speak to would be the job centre as they are the ones who would end up paying you aren't some employers evil!
