im not sure what the plan is yet. we go this friday to hospital to see consultant and for another scan so will find out more then. at our last appointment before this happened the consultant wanted to try and aim for a normal birth, but with a planned date so that surgical team and colorectal team were on standby for emergency, but im guessing now she'll just want to play it safe and go straight for the planned cs?
will have to wait and see on friday, but ill keep ya posted.

Hey everyone, im 23wks today and about 12oclock this afternoon i started to get really bad pains in my stomach. They seem to come on all of a sudden and then get stronger and then the bottom of my back starts hurting too. Im good with pain normally, but i feel like crying with this. Ive also been sick a few times.
I can still feel the baby kicking/moving.
Can anybody please reassure me or tell me what to do.
Thanks in advance, Lu & 23wk Blue Piglet xxxx

Hiya, well im fed up so thought id have a moan on here lol (wont bore yas with too many details tho lol). On thurs i started to get worse once i posted and when oh came home from work we went to hospital and were there till 2am. anyhow things just went more downhill from there and on saturday morning oh rung midwife again who said to go to day unit. by that time i wasnt even keeping a sip of water down and the pain was awful.
anyhow got kept in (much to my horror) and ended up drugged up, stuck on a drip and with a tube down my throat all weekend. The problem is that because ive got crohns disease and had a lot of abdominal surgery the scaring on the inside has caused webbing which has stuck itself to my womb and other places, and because of that growing and the baby growing thats whats causing the pain, and then the pain is causing the sickness. Also my colons has knotted up.
theyve said that its only going to get worse the bigger i get and the only way to stop it is for the baby to be born, so now its just a waiting game really to see what happens next and when the baby will be strong enough to be born.
The thing is i did know about all these problems we would be facing when i got pregnant but it doesnt stop it from being so scary when it does start happening.
anyhow sorry for moaning, the main thing is that baby is doing really well still, (just me with the probs lol) and he never stopped stopped kicking for the whole weekend, i think he must have been doing to say Hey mum stop worrying im fine in here lol. made me feel a whole lot better though knowing that none of this was affecting him, i can cope with that.
anyway, hope everyone and bumps are well and thanx for the advice the other day.

Hi Lu,I had what you described at about 22 and 26 weeks - really bad pains, felt like they were coming and going, intense back pain etc... My OH freaked out when I started crying, rung midwifes at hospital who said to come in, and turned out I had a UTI. Big relief in a way, but apparently they are very dangerous and can bring on labour etc... I'd suggest ringing your local hospital or midwife, and getting it checked out. Either way, its better to be over cautious and get an all good to carry on.Am sure you'll be fine - at 23 weeks you are out of the early danger stage. Good luck. S & 30w blue bump x
