Hey everyone!

My little boy is 14 weeks old today and for the past 2 to 2 and a half weeks, has been sleeping through the night, usually til about 5.30 or 6am, which is fine, as I usually put him down to bed between 8 and 9.

Last night and the night before though, he has started waking up again in the middle of the night, about 2am and then only sleeping 2 hours at a time after that. I feel as if we have gone backwards about 4 weeks.

I havent changed his routine, he is still feeding well, nothing is different in his room - I just dont know what to think. I have tried giving him hungry baby milk at bedtime before but it just makes him really sick and so does baby rice.

Anyone got any ideas? I am gutted if he is going to start waking in the night again. Also, when he does wake do I feed him as I used to - I cant think how else to get him back to sleep as he gets in such a state, but I also dont want to get him back in the routine of a night feed after he had done so well getting out of that routine. I make sure he takes on plenty of food in the day - usually about 35oz of milk is what he has, so I just dont know!!

Olivia did exactly the same! She slept through from 10wks (7.30-7am) then at 15wks started waking at 3/4am.
I read up and it says its one of the signs that the baby is telling you they are ready for solids. So we started her on food (she was already on rusk at night) and after a few nights she slept back through.
Also it could be to do with teething.

did this and all i did was keep her from having her feeds in the night as she didn't need it and basically not talking to her giving her her dummy then walking away sounds cruel but if theres nothing wrong they are usually doing it to get your attention, she got the jist after about 4 nights and was fine again. he's not teething is he?

...I dont think so - he is dribbling loads and has been a bit grotty so i keep feeling round his mouth for teeth appearing, but i cant find any.

i am quite happy to leave him if i know that there is nothing wrong with him but i just worry that he genuinely is hungry and then i feel bad!!

they get you on guilt trips at such a young age lol they can teet like that for a while without having any through they usually dribble lots and try and put everything in their mouths, i feel really sorry for them at the moment with the weather as they can;t really move to get comfy
