"What does it feel like when baby first moves?"

Can anyone describe what it feels like when you first feel baby moving? I keep reading about this "butterfly" type feeling but I don't really know what to make of that, or get my head round how that would feel.....!

I'm 16 wks and recently been getting a feeling on and off, and not quite daily (but then sometimes a couple of times a day!), like a strange rumbly tummy, but without the hunger or noise and a bit more vibration almost...?! could that be it or is it just strange digestion?! or is it even too early infact?!

Hope you're all well girls,
N xx

think i was 18wks with Finlay when i first felt him..everyone describes it differently but for me it was like butterflies in my tummy (like when your nervous)..then it went into really hard kicks around 24wks and then it was like a mexican wave from then on!lol

everyone is different it all depends on where baby is lying to how soon you feel it and the type of your placenta! you ll know when you feel it!

take care

Everyone is different, I first felt baby at about 19 weeks I think, and I described it as my stomach being stirred, ha ha, you'll know when you feel it.
