Hi Steph,
I had exactly the same thing happen at my 16 week check last Saturday. The midwife said there were proteins but did not seem to be that bothered about it. She said that usually when she sends them off to the lab they come back saying everything is fine so she does not bother unless there are other symptoms of an infection i.e. pain when weeing etc. I think if your blood pressure was up too then maybe they would worry...not sure really. When is your due date - mine is October 31st. Happy and healthy pregnancy to you Becky x

I had protein in my urine at one stage (around 28 wks) but the sample that was sent off for testing was fine. I think so long as you don't have any other signs of infection or blood pressure problems it's not uncommon just to get a rogue result.

Its great when you hear littlin for the 1st time Not sure about the protein in urine as I havent had it...not that I remem!lol Am sure your MW would have said if it could lead to pre eclampsia. Did she say it def was a urine infection or give you anything for it?
