had alook and mine have an f on them so unfortunately don't think the initial thing can mean anything.
we found out we're havin a boy so the f wouldn't have meant anything to me anyway.
talk about intriguiging (don't think i spelt that right)though!!

My 12 wk scan says Y and my hugh bump is all front too! We get our chromosome results on Friday - but chasing tom - and that will tell us for sure

Hi I think its just a coincidence the X and Y or even Z which appear on scan photo is relating to the axis of the graph that the sonographer uses to measure from. hope this doesnt dissapoint you and atleast it means you still get the suprise at the end. It makes it all worth while X

I've got it too - a Y at the top and we are having a boy, so another scan photo backing up your idea. x

Just read your post and couldn't resist checking my scan pics. My 13 week one has a Y and they said at the time (OH had to ask)that they were 70% certain it was a boy. Although the other synographer said you can't really tell at that stage.
Do you think they'd be that obvious on the scan, wouldn't they just write something on your notes??
I'm curious too!
It'll be interesting to see what the others say.....

You got me curious and I had a look. Plenty to choose from as get scanned at every appt. Most have Z on none have Y or X and some have nothing on. Had a look at last years scans from pg with Charlie and its the same some have Z some have nothing.
I'm wondering if its something to do with the serial number of the particular machine that they use. I'm goiny ask next week at my next scan.
I'm sure its got nothing at all to do with sex.
I'll let you know next week unless someone knows just now.

scans had a Y and I had a girl, so I don't think it really means anything, some of my scans had no letters
