hi i really need help! im nearly 16 weeks pg and have a bump already. i am still at college and am a residently student as well, i cant not let my parents no about this untill i finish my course in May. has anyone else been in this situ or has anyone got advise on how to hide it! i have brought some maternity trousers as my normal ones were uncomfortable but i can not find tops that can hide it for long. i will be around 28-29 weeks when i leave so what are the chances of no one noticing? how quickly and how big did you all get and would u have been able to hide it at this stage?

thanks for any advice it is really needed and appreciated!

"Is anyone going to tell your mum & dad?"

I think that if you have chosen to continue with this baby then you should be proud, and get some extra support and time from the college. If you are residential it shouldn't make any difference, and I guess you won't be the first girl who was pregnant there. You will need someone to talk to and to help you with doctors and hospital appointments.Show your parents you have been doing all the right sensible things.
If you tell your course leader (tell them you want a guarantee of confidentiality BEFORE you tell them)I bet they have support packages in place all ready.Ask them some 'what ifs (like your parents find out & go mad) You can claim some money from the government too to help you buy the expensive things for the baby. Of course there could be someone who blabs to your Mum, is that likely?.The fact that you are determined to finish your course is fantastic and although your parents might be cross at first , they have NO rights to pull you off the course...you are a very sensible girl!Have a plan B ready that you have agreed wth the college just in case.
If you still decide to take all this on...on your own, then yes baggy is the way to go , and say you are on anti-biotics so people don't wonder why you don't want to go drinking
Big mumzie hug...please keep posting..

You have a tuff task, but it is doable! Dont stand with your knees staright with you back, keep them bent a little bit because this will stop your belly from popping out so far. Wear baggy sweaters. No top per say is really going to hide it that long! People started noticing me when I was about 25-27 weeks, but everyone is different. Hope it works for you xoxoxooxox

I'm just worried i will get found out! i am a big girl any way (size 18 normally) so i thought i wouldnt have shown for a while. i can blame it on coming off the diet for a while but for some reason i think it will be a big baby anyway as all my family were 9lb+!!! luckily i have may baggy hoodies anyway but even them when i stand up straight show a little!

Hi I really feel for you hun. Like others have said, I think you're college will have something inplace already for this sort of situation, Im sure you arent the first pupil to ever fall pregnant. Please confide in a tutor so you dont have to stuggle with this pregnancy alone. You didnt say how old you are, if you are over 16 then I dont think they have a right to tell you're parents anything [but check this as Im not sure]
Also Im sure you're parents wont be as mad as you are imagining they will be? At least you are being really sensible and are completing you're course, that will show them how grown up you are.
How about the dad? Is he involved in this situation? If not then make sure you try and get some support from him, as they say it takes two to tango!
Good luck hun, keep us posted. Im sure it will all work out Sam xxx

im 22 but my parents treat me like im 12! they still think i am a virgin so it will be to hard to brake it to them! i am really thinking about tell a lecturer as i have told one of the wardens as she is a close friend anyway.
the dad doesnt no yet but as i am not in a relationship with him anyway i dont think he will want anything to do with it but i am going to tell him over the half term holiday. even if he did want part in its life i dont think that would be good as he can be abusive so i cant really get support from him! i have 3 great friends that are helping so that makes it alot easier!
hope u are all doing well!

Marie if you are 22 then nobody can tell you're parents without you saying so, it breaches confidentiality. I know you think you're parents will be annoyed, and they may be at first but you are an adult and old enough to make you're own decisions about you're life and they will love you whatever happens. Good luck with telling the dad and I really hope this all works out for you, Sam xxx
