that you and Nick have different colour eyes? I have heard said that 2 blue eyed parents will produce a blue eyed child. Me and hubby both blue eyed I would think then would have blue eyed children. But my hubby as flecks of brown in both eyes so not sure what will happen with Destiny but for now she has definate blue eyes. Our other child together also has blue eyes.
I think this is right, that if a child has one blue eyed parent and the other parent has another colour the chances are that the child will also have blue eyes as blue is the dominant gene. Probably totally wrong - but thats my two pence worth!
Hope you and little un are well.
Hayley and Destiny almost 21 weeks old! x

brown is more dominant than blu so if you have a brown eyed parent and a blue eyed parent chances are that you will have a brown eyed child but you have to look at grandparents eyes too (sometimes greatgrandparents) as my youngest has grey/green eyes and both me and my hubby have brown, she has my grandads eyes, my parents are brown but my sister has blue (my nan had blue eyes) or maybee shes the milkmans???? lol

There is a reason but I can't remember, just that I asked the visiting midwives about this with one of my babies when I noticed it. She said they're not the same as us at this stage, as in they don't need to like we do. Ask a NHS person, they'll know the technical reason. Sometimes, of course, the eyes colour don't change...
