Hey ladies,

Have been having quite strong braxton hicks for a few days now, and today they got very strong. Had the midwife today and they decided to put me on the monitor and they were coming every 20 minutes, and quite strong.

They didnt really say much else, apart from 'wait and see what happens'

I have had no 'show' or bloody discharge yet, has any one elses labours started like this and if so how long did it all take to kick off? could i go on like this for another week or so?!

Also should i be doing anything to help speed things up?

Thanks!

Desperate Kate!!! 39+1 xxx

Have you tried a bath for the BHicks - read that nice warm baths can ease the BH.
Have you tried the birthing ball to sit on and sway your hips to try and get babs to move down. Pineapple...Sorca the killer wale dvd (suggested by another woman - it put her into labour)
Were you on raspberry leaf tea tabs out of curiousity? Have read that they can intensify BH, but they are supposed to be good for bringing on labour if taken from 34wks. Good luck and keep us posted how you are getting on!
