Hey everyone!

Well im now 24+6wks and woke up this morning dying for a cup of coffee lol. Ive avoided it all together so far and the thought of drinking it before now actually made me want to be sick lol.

Anyhow just had a wander down to the shop and they dont sell decaf so bought some normal coffee, but now i darent have a cup in case it does something to the baby.

Does anybody think that one lil cup of coffee is gonna hurt? i dont know whether im being over anxious or not lol.

I drank tea and coffee througout my pregnancy, I didn't find out I was pregnant until 16 weeks, she was some what of a suprise, so I did lots I shouldn't have done prior to finding out, once I knew I had, probably 1 cup of tea a day and every so often I'd have a cup of coffee.

Enjoy it.

I avoided coffee and coke like the plague for the 1st 16wks or so, but once I got over 20wks I had an odd cup, if I was out somewhere for lunch...a late or something like that. As long as you dont over do it with the cafine you should be ok I would think. Enjoy!

De-caf coffee and teabags in the house and drink it all the time at home, but if I go out I do treat myself to PROPER cup of coffee or cappicino with sprinkles..! which is may be once a week at the very most.
The only thing with the coffee thing is that most folk only have one spoon full of coffee in their cup, but if your read the jar it does recommend 2-3 spoon fulls per cup!, so it can be hard to work out your exact guidelines, I would IF you can just avoid it all together. Besides its stops you from bouncing of the wall like some demented freak on speed! because you sure do notice the caffein rush.

the guidelines in my pregnancy book say up to 3 cups of coffee or 6 cups of tea per day is ok although obviously you have to watch what else you're eating/drinking as like nicki says other things contain caffeine too. Hope that helps,

love, Clare xxx

they say to cut down your intake of caffine during pregnancy but im sure one cup isn;t going to hurt as there is caffine in most things tea coffee coke chocolate etc also with you being over half way through all the major developments have already taken place i alwasy say if your craving it have a little bit your body obviously wants it xxx
