"Tried them all... but still nothing!"

I am due on Tuesday and have tried everything... but my little boy is still not attempting to make his apearance!! Pineapples just gve me a huge ulcer on my tongue, sex was just awful and worse than doing the washing and ironing LOL, hot curry is acceptable, castor oil must admit not tried and don't intend to.... I'm running out of options at the moment. I was hoping he would be slightly early as my brother is getting married in 2weeks in Devon and as I am in the Midlands I don't want to be travelling either very heavily pregnant/very overdue or with a newly born baby...! Aaaaaagh.

I've tried tlking to him and bribing him and negotiating with him - NOTHING! He must be like his Dad, ha ha!!!!

Take care, Jo + boy bump 39 weeks + 1 day. x x x

"Had ellie 9days early...."
Posted by tweetypie83 5 June  at  12:10

Hiya

When I was pregnant everyone said that Ellie would be late as she was my 1st. Like you I was uncomfortable and wasnt sleeping to well and wanted to try everything I could. I was drinking 3/4 cups of Raspberry Leaf Tea a day, eating one whole fresh pineapple everyday for 7 days and taking the dog for brisk walks (not to far from home just incase). We didnt try sex as one I was not comfortable and two OH didnt like the fact that my bump was big he said it was like she was there watching!! Like I said I went into labour 9 days early and labour was only 6hours!!! Contractions started at 1.40am got to the hospital at 6am and had Ellie in my arms at 8.41am!!!!

Next time I'm pregnant I will be doing exactly the same as I did this time I'm not 100 per cent which of the three made her come early so I say they all helped!!!! Dont eat a whole pineapple in one go, I used to have some with breakfast then snack on some have some with lunch snack on it through the day anmd have it for pudding. I love pineapple but I can only just bring myself to eat it again but I think it helped. Tinned pineapple doesnt do the same as when it is tinned the enzime that helps induce labour fades so FRESH FRESH FRESH!!!!!

Hope this helps

"Reflexology??"
Posted by confused79 4 June  at  21:07

Hi Amy,

I had Reflexology on Monday night (she was rubbish, felt like a very poor foot rub) however she asked me if I wanted any help with making the baby come earlier?

I said no thank you, I still have 7 weeks left! She said that reflexology was very good during pregnancy and if I need any help nearer the time to go back and see her and she will work on those specific pressure points.

Like I say, I didn't rate this particluar woman as I didn't feel any different after, but it might be worth looking into in your local area (it was £25 for 1 hour) to see if there are any specialists.

Good Luck and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to have an early baby!

Love Jen

"There's things you can try"
Posted by 5reloaded5 4 June  at  17:37

But I've done most of them in the past and NOTHING works. If you know anyone who has went into labour after tryn these then it's coincidence.

Eat curries/spicy food
Have sex
A long walk (as powerful as you can go)
Tweaking nipples!!!!!
DIY sweep (have to say, didn't try this and don't intend to)
Castor oil (was much younger when tried this disgusting method)
Eat 7 pineapples

Babies come out when they want to unless medically induced and much as I can't bear the thought of feeling like this for another 3 weeks I'm not going to try anything unless anyone knows of a new improved method!!!!!

On this site it seems far more common for our babies to be late than early. To skip the final couple of miserable weeks sounds fab.
