"Tounge tie"
Posted by glowgal 15 June  at  00:34

my son was born with this, anyone else had a baby with this?

his tounge tie is right at the tip, making a little dent almost like a heart shaped tounge.

it doesnt seem to bother him, he feeds well and starting to babble.

i had to stop breastfeeding as he couldnt latch on and i got very sore nipples.

the speech therapist has no concerns regarding his feeding, as she seems to think its streched, as he does have good movment, just cant poke his tounge out.

but my partner is worried he will develop a speech problem later and get bullied at school.

do you know anyone with this and how is their speech.
he's only 9 month old.

glowgal, 9 month old boy and 5 month old bump!!

and it has never caused me any problems at all. I can't stick my tongue out but hey, it's rude to do that anyway!

He'll be just fine - people never know unless you tell them
