and i'm not going to lie it hurt but only because she didn't give me any warning she just shoved her two fingers right up there and really rotated her hand, it felt like she was stuffing me (sorry tmi)unfortunatley for me my cervix was too high and she couldn't do the sweep was only just touching the cervix (she had really small finger mind!!!). To tell you the truth it wasn't embarrassing it's like having a smear only the midwife was there no onlookers!!! not like when we are in labour with all on sundry having a poke/look around!!! I did get OH to help me shave the night before - he couldn't understand why??? he said they ain't gonna be looking at how hairy you are - HA MEN THEY JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT WE STILL LIKE TO LOOK PRESENTABLE EVEN AT THE MOST UNDIGNIFIED OF TIMES!!!

I have got to see the consultant at the hospital tomorrow for another sweep - hoping he has long fingers lol and can successfully perform it - otherwise I am being booked in for an induction which I really dont want, as I was planning on having a home birth.

Yeh she is great! the BF is a bit hit and miss really, its so tiring and so difficult but were getting there. im a bit worried as she lost a bit of weight and hasnt regained her birth weight yet. bless her. she is so tiny!

My sweep didnt work, but my cervix wasnt quite ready. it did give me stong cramps but they didnt lead to anything!
Have lots and lots of sex if poss, i went into full blown labour after a bit of hanky panky!

when are they going to do it?

mw said she will do a sneeky one after 39wks and im booked with cunsultant at 40wks to make arrangments to be induced if i havent gone by then cos they wont leave me go till 42wks thank god!

thats what they said, but by 2 weeks there expected to have regained their birth weight. They are keeping a close eye on her so im not so worried, she is happy though!

I hate to say it but she really will come when she is ready! look how much i tried to get mine out lol!
i hope you dont end up being induced, i have a feeling it will happen next week!

I really miss being pregnant!
