I had a growth scan 2 weeks ago after measuring 5 weeks ahead at my m/w appointment. From what I was told, they have a tolerance of + or - 3cms when measuring your fundal height and this is considered normal but anything 4cms or more is usually investigated further or at least monitored over a few weeks to see if it changes. I dont know if its the same in every area, but apparently that is what they work to here in shropshire. As it turns out, when I went for my scan I wasnt half as big as they suspected, still coming up approx 2 weeks ahead but I am just destined to carry big babies so they are happy with that conclusion.
I really wouldnt worry about it hun, there is no exact science for working out the size of your baby, and there is a huge amount of play in the fundal measurements they take. All sorts of things can affect it, and unless you suddenly start measuring way off the scale, they will just keep an eye on it.

5 i think with this one but for the opposite reason my baby was measuring large, they are quite normal also if they are doing it on your fundal height it could well be that you are all baby and not much water or baby might have been lying in a funny position, they will take a few measurements just to see round about how big it is and usually the flow in the cord its an extra chance to see baby really lol xxx
