As some of them are rubbish at football. I'll go round the country pushing them onto talent shows as soon as Francis is off his bobos!

Whole thread for the following message:

A beautiful wee baby boy!!! His name's Francis Gerard McGinley. He weighed 9 lbs 2 oz (but embarrassingly enough, no stitches required. I'm sure this was due to raspberry leaf rather than the size of my, ahem) His brothers are in love with him, little Charlie mesmirised by the tiny moving person. Cute xx

Induction was not too bad at all. After first pessary nothing happened. Got another the next morning, which was due date and a few hours later I felt onset. Went into a quiet room to listen to CD's and sit on a ball, then Charles arrived and rubbed my back for a while. Found a nurse around 2 pm who got me some gas and air and called delivery room. Got some diamorphine there but was progressing too quick for it to be any good tho Charles said it worked for a while as he recognised cheeky streak. I pulled gas n air away and asked the midwife if she was a student, how many babies she'd delivered and if she had proof, then I flung the mouthpiece across the room and sucked the gas straight out.
Pushing was pretty bad, seemed to take forever, was prob about 40 mins and only when an older midwife relieved the younger one did he pop out as she forced me to stop the gas to push. OH said it was hindering pushing and could see the difference when I took it away. I was very shaken afterwards for half hour, then fine and up for a bath.
Can't believe how big he is as people were commenting on me carrying smaller than last year and Charlie was under 6 lbs. You just never know. He looks tiny winy to me and he's an absolute delight.
Stayed in hosp for a few days to rest and when I wanted to go home they made us stay longer as thot he had breathing probs but checked everything and he's fine so we got home at 5pm last night but I never went in the house I went straight to my GP at 5.10pm for the pill and some strong painkillers (I'm not joking).
Unfortunately, in my absence my laptop has mysteriously broken and I've come round the library to let you know so I'll have to catch up on everyone's news when I get mine sorted out but thanks for thinking of us and hope all is well. I'm so happy not to be pg, I lay flat down in my bed for ages last night just enjoying the feeling and Francis slept from 11pm to 6 am. I'm not one to wake a sleeping baby and I did tell the visiting midwife this morning who I've known for 19years, she said leave them sleeping they'll only fight you if you try to wake and feed so thats my kind of advice.

Sorry to go on an on but I could tell yous loads loads more. I'm still stuck to the ceiling but Jude is poking me to hurry so he can play Spongebob b4 we head home. Take care everyone Jen 5 sons xxxxxxx

One of them might be the next Andy Murray!

Congratulations on the birth of your little boy. I'm sooo chuffed for you. 5 healthy boys. That's brilliant.

I think I might question my midwife about her experience actually as she's very young......
