So much ladies. I had half a mind to go talk to the lady at H & B myself to enlighten her! If she actually read the packet it would tell her all she needs to know. It specifically says not to be used in very early pregnancy. To be used from third trimester onwards!

I will be enjoying my first cup of RLT tonight just before bed!

Whole thread for the following message:

"Another question about rasberry leaf tea"

I asked one of my collegues to get me some as I am 32 weeks today. The person at the health store started questioning how far I am. When told, she very politely informed my collegue that I should not be taking it before 37 weeks as it can cause miscarriage!!!

Now I know this is a load of you know what but now she has me worried. The biggest misconception about RLT is that it brings on labour - this is untrue and rather it helps the uterus prepare for labour. But I still cant help but worry.

HELP!!! DO I DRINK IT???

What a load of ****. I found a site that actually says you can take it from the moment you find out your pregnant! As it does not set you off it just helps your uterus & cervix.
If you google RLT i have not seen one negative comment. You can also take it for a few weeks after the birth as it helps the bleeding too.
I took it from 32wks in the tablet form. I had my little girl at 38wks and a very quick labour. The MW that delievered said this was cos of the RLT.

Its your choice. If you dont feel 110% bout taking it then dont. Maybe you owt to give the women some info in the shop about it.

taking 1 tablet a day at 32 weeks then 2 at 34 and am not on 6 a day at 38, if you read all the stuff on the web it says some helath professionals say you can take a small dose all the way through and yes you are right it doesn;t bring on labour but helps prepare the cervix and tone the uterus muscles to make pushing in the 2nd stage of labour more productive and also helps if you cary on taking it afterwards with the bleeding and general healing of down below, my midwife told me to start at around 36 weeks but lots of ladies on here said ok at 32 and it also says 32 for 1 tab a day on my bottle from holland and barrat, hope this helps xx
