Emmy has a strange habit, now she is in the big girls cot, several times i have found her sideways on, and half way up the cot! she is a right little wriggle bum. I tried her on her side, and she just pushes herself on her back and cries! bless her.

Hello,

Can anyone please tell me if their babies sleep on their front?

Emily does it, and i kinda feel like she is the only one! I put her on her back for the 1st 3 weeks but after that she just screamed the place down, and when she did go to sleep on her back, she would only stay asleep for about half an hour, then wake up.

Needless to say that resulted in 2 very frazzled parents! hehe

If i put her on her back now, she just looks at me as if if to say, 'is it playtime again mummy?'

I do worry about it, my HV said that if she is happy like it then leave her alone, but im a born worrier!

My 3rd would only sleep on her front, she was just like Emily and woke up frequently if on her back! I would try not to worry. Jessica is 18 weeks now and can already roll over so sleeps however she feels like! I don't see I could do anything about that!! She mostly sleeps on her side now.
I so agree about the time flying! It is unbelievable! Only seems like days since we were all waiting impatiently to go into labour!

Great name for your little girl by the way!

Lily loves sleeping on her front, she does when shes napping and we can keep an eye on her, lol made me laugh when you said she just wants to play when shes on her back, lilys the same! Back in the day they advised you to sleep them on their fronts, i now put lily on her side and she loves it, im happier about it too cos i can relax a bit more!

Emilys getting older now too so she should soon be able to roll over if not already which means she can get herself out of danger if god forbid anything happens!

Lily slept in her big girls cot yesterday for the first time and she loved it! She looked so so small in it though!
