"Milk quantity?"
Posted by hopeful9 6 July  at  09:31

Hi I'm hoping for some advice on how much milk a baby should have from a bottle feed. I'm about to start expressing the odd bottle and I have no idea what 10 minutes on each side equates to in ml!
Ivo is 5 weeks and 10lb 13oz, what is likely to be an average size feed?

Thanks,

Stella xx

was born at 8lb 12oz and she was taking 4-5oz milki at 5 weeks usually, I'd suggested making a bottle with 5oz in, and then if he finishes it completely, do a bigger bottle next time, 7 oz, if he only takes 2oz, then make up a 3oz, just do one you'll soon realise if he needs more or less.
