ok so ill start at the begining again....

i had a period on 7th april-normal
then i had a bit discharge/funny stuff around 5th may.

if may was implantation that would make me 13 weeks.

if may was just very light AF i would be 9 weeks.

midwife went from april.

so......

had my first scan this morning and was extreamly nervous as already had one MC at 11 weeks and then a set of twins.

results show a baby(just one) measuring 7.3 weeks with a sac and heartbeat-all seems ok.

BUT----i had a positive preg test on wed 11th june???? if im only 7.3 weeks that means i only fell pregnant on 1st june meaning i got BFP 10 DAYS after!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT??

im really confused now and worrying myself that it measures small because its not growing correctly?? or maybe when i go for 12 week scan i will measure ahead and its just hard to tell at this stage?

please help girls as i really thought i would go in today and all would be sorted but now i still have another 5 weeks until im 'out of the woods' so to speak and until my 12 week scan

hey... you count your pregnancy from the first day of your last period not the day you conceive ( the dday u conceive is not the day u have sex either !! )

not sure when your mc was but preg hormones can stay around for a while after a mc , could be this ??

scan dates are very accurate early on, i had a dating scan at 6 weeks with my daughter and she arrive within 24 hours of their predicted date !

i had a positive test 10 days after ovulation as my luteal phase (between ovulation and af) was short. So you might be like me !! glad you got a heartbeat and good size though, try to relax till the next one I know its hard I am still a nervous wreck take care hun rach xx 12+5

1st june was only 5.3 weeks ago?? 7.3 weeks ago was 18th may-i was in ireland then-without OH so how counld i have got preg then??

If those dates are correct that means you 'should' of had last af on/around 18th may so your next one would have been around 15th June? (if average 28days) if you tested on the 11th June, you would have been testing 4 days before af due and with the sensitive tests they can detect the hormone as early as 6 days before so it is possible. maybe you did not ovualte smack bang on 14days, you may have ovulated early or late?
The main thing is that you saw the little bean with a heartbeat. I had a scan at 7.2 weeks due to previous m/c's (it measured 10.2mm if you want to compare to check date?) and the midwife told me that now we have seen heartbeat the chance of a problem arising has dropped dramatically. I am having my next scan a week today, why dont you get yourself booked in for 4 weeks time, you'll be almost 12 weeks and i know how long that extra week can be.
Didn't plan on writing that much, take care and try to rememeber the baby is fine and growing, thats all that matters.

ok so ive just been looking on net...

im very irreg so im thinking i had Af around the 5th may i must have then ovulated early the next month and caught on that egg? which would have been 1st june?

by that all seems well?? apparently you can get a BFP 14 days after ov sometimes sooner.

Hey Rach...sorry Im no help with the dates etc...Im easily confused these days! At least you know you have a viable heartbeat and that littlin is thriving away inside of you. Try and relax! They will know better at the 12wk scan, they will do a measurement then that will give you more of an idea of your weeks.

they take your dates from your LMP, so that means your LMP was about 18th may,meaning your 7.3weeks, the first 2 weeks of pregnancy, your not actually pregnant. they count those 2 weeks just to make it easier to calculate your pregnancy!so you would of concieved on average about 14 days after may 18th, Confusing ay!x
