is 11 days today and fantastic hes in a routine alreay more so because of having to fit in with his sisters i think he feeds every 2 hours in the day then every 3-4 at night he has his awake periods where he just lies and watches the world go by and gurgles to himself he only cries at the moment when he wants a feed and i just cant stop kissing and cuddling him hes just so perfect! im going on holiday tomorrow and hoping that it doesn;t upset him too much as its a heck of a long drive as the girls can occupy themselves with toys etc i can;t wait until he starts smiling * when not being a windy pop* glad your all doing well xxxx

Hey new mummies, and mummies to be!

Just thought i would put a post to see how your all getting on? Mia is nearly 7 weeks now and i cant believe how quick it has gone!
The BF didnt get of to a good start and i am topping her up with formula as she doesnt seem satisfied at all with just breast milk.

I am trying to get her into a routine but she is not having any of it!

I am enjoying being a mummy sooo much but it really is the most exhausting thing in the world! Pregnant ladies GET AS MUCH SLEEP AS YOU CAN!!!!!

I will get round to updating my pics of Mia as she is changing so much and has started to really smile at me every time she catches my eye!!! Very cute and makes all the sleepless nights worth it!

Looking forward to hearing how everyone is!

Hugs

Kate and Mia Mae 6 weeks, 6 days!

xxx

Sophie is 11 days old. I definatley agree that you need to get as much sleep as you can. All those people who said nothing prepares you for your first baby and the sleepless nights wernt joking! It's hard.

I'm loving every minute of it and wouldnt change it for the world (even with the stitches and the fact that Sophie has had colic).

I dont think I've ever been so tired in my life but it's all more worth it than I could ever haver imagined.

Love and hugs

Sarah & Sophie 11 days. xxxx

Hi,

Lottie is 10 weeks now and time has just flown, i have been to a baby group and every baby is just soooo different when it comes to routine. Some babies sleep and feed and seem very satisfied and others (like my Lottie) seem a little unsettled and 'grumble' quite a bit!
She wants to be on the move all the time and she seems to cry more than other babies (am i being paranoid?) but she is quite amusing and such a wriggler, she likes to crawl all over me when i am holding her and loves looking around new places and rooms its so funny!

Im managing to get some sleep (!) but seem to feel tired all the time anyway!
We also stopped BF after about 6 weeks (god the problems and pain!)and she had expressed milk for a while and now totally on formula! She has colic and reflux so night time is a little noisy but getting better slightly!
Good to hear other new mummies stories, it keeps me sane!

I know what you mean about the routine. It has really been stressing me out at the mo, i have been trying to get her to bed at 7 every night so that we have a bit of time etc but she is having none of it! i am really envious of mums that have 'good' babies and go to bed early and actually sleep!!! lol

Mia is quite grumbly too and i have to entertain her lots or she gets really bored and cries for more attention!

I am also tired all the time, i feel like i havent slept properly in years!! lol

its such hard work but all worth while when they smirk at you!

kate & Mia 7 weeks today!!!

"Sleep - what is that?"

Glad Mia is doing well, it is scary how quick they change...

I love the little man to bits but I've never been so tired. All the advice about sleeping when your baby sleeps is fine if you have no trouble sleeping by day but I've never really got the hang of it! Also Ivo tends to only want to sleep in the sling or on me by day. The pram sends him off when we're going somewhere and I have no chance of a nap and he wakes up when we're getting home.

The BF is going really well, it's a lot more comfy than it was and I'm starting to feel less self concious about doing it out and about (although not entirely as the little man is quite a slurper which can be embarassing!). He weighs 12 lb 13oz already which is almost excessive so I'm trying to spin out times between feeds a bit.

Ivo smiles and coos which is so sweet. He's incredibly noisy - at baby massage all the other babies were all quiet and sleepy while he was going 'ooh' and 'aah' continuously. He definitely seems to enjoy it though.

Tomorrow my mum is taking him and a bottle of expressed milk so I can have my first morning off. I can't wait to get back to bed for a lie in but at the same time I'm going to miss him...

Hope all is going well for everyone else
