wow im impressed everyone seems to know. we were trying but not really, it was more a if it happens, good news but not actively seeking it thing. So i know we didnt do it particularly much as when we had been trying for real. That time it took 3 months of a lot of action to make a baby. This time took a month of lacklustre activity to put the bun in the oven.

Whole thread for the following message:

"How often did you 'do it' the month you got pregnant?"

We over on the ttc board have read many different things e.g. every other day, twice a week, everyday, only when you ovulate etc... etc...

So I thought to myself who better to ask than you guys over here who have all been successful?

Thank you in advance for your replies. x

My pregnancy wasn't planned but... we think we can trace it back to the weekend I should have been due to ovulate (I worked that out afterwards lol), that we 'did it' 3 times in a row after a few too many! Don't know if it was the sheer amount or just the right time, or both!

Wow, this post has had lots of replies. Thank you all so much for taking the time to a) read my post and b)reply to me with your own personal experiences. It seems quite mixed, which is what I was expecting as I understand that everyone is different! I have been trying hard to take the 'if it happens it happens' approach over the last few months its just as its my wedding anniversary today I would really like to claim that I conceived on our special day!

Is there anyone else with other experiences? Thank you again.

I've just been reading through the other replies, we weren't quite so lucky and had to try a bit harder it seems, we did it 5 times in a week that month (was the first time we actually followed sperm meets egg plan infact, so was the week I OV'd) and for the first time that month I laid with my legs up afterwards and I'm sure gravity played a part! hehe...

Good luck to you!!

I had sex for 14days after my period. (cant remeber what days) then didnt have sex then till i my af come...but it didnt..i got a BFP instead.
We had been trying for 2 years.

Good luck

"Not much..."

We had a family holiday and then friends staying so we had decided we were going to relax about the ttc for the month as we probably wouldn't get the chance anyway, I never got a + ov test either. So after months of constant babydancing the month we only managed 1 or 2 times which I thought were nowhere near when I'd be fertile resulted in our little man.

I had done an ov test on the Friday that was positive, but normally you ovulate 24-36 hours after your positive on the test.
So I remember we'd had sex on the Thursday, didn't on the Friday, but on the Sat night I knew we had to. We'd had a v v v long day, got home v late and had an early start next day and normally I would have been too tired to bother! But I knew I was ov so i pounced. And I'm glad I did!
Did it 2 days after that too, just for good luck

Good luck to you Lea xx

when i fell pregnant with my little boy, the OH and I had sex on the friday night and the sunday night - it was my fertile weekend. it appears that that time i fell preggers on the friday!

it now looks as if i am pregnant again and we have only had unprotected sex twice, seemingly around my fertile time again but i have no idea when that was because i have not had a period since giving birth to my little boy.

baby dust to you all
love kelly and oliver, 23 weeks.
xx
