Hi,

Just wondered if anyone is eating loads of junk, for instance i ate 8 twister ice lollies on sunday and then 4 tonight, that is on top of my dinner what a pig!! Just worried it will be unhealthy for the baby eating all this sugary rubbish etc but i am craving this much!
Any suggestions on how to cut down ?

Miracle 37 and 24+2 week bump. xxx

Me in same boat I'm 22 weeks today and have been eating sugary sweets and worst of all and I hate to admit this but I could eat a burger with chips every now and again but don't BBQ them or cook them at home (thank goodness) but if I had half the chance I would!! It's really strange as I don't like them otherwise!! This pregnancy is a fuuny old thing, apart from that I do crave lemons!! Anyhting lemoney drinks and food wise so thats a good thing in a way as thats good for you. But really wouldn't worry to much, as long as your healthy and eat in moderation I don't think it makes much difference.
Happy chomping!!

i have eaten loads of junk foods (not savoury but chocs, sweets, ice creams) since day 1 of pregnancy. in the beginning it was all that would stop the morning sickness, now its a baaaaad habit. what has been helping is a big bowl of porridge in the morning. and i dont even like porridge!

really good stuff in the first couple of months like cheesespread, milk and fresh fruit then i just went mad with the chocolate! However apparently eating loads of choc while pregnant makes a happy baby as it's those feel good chemicals floating around while he's growing inside you! Zac is definitely a very happy baby so must be some truth in it. Not sure about other stuff tho, i don't think ice lollies would be too bad tho hun, but what about ice cream? That might have more calcium and be good for heartburn too. And have loads of fruit to snack on sometimes it can satisfy a sweet craving. But i think if you eat healthy along side the treats, you won't be doing too bad.

yeah im eating quite a bit of junk too!

crisps, biscuits that sort of thing mainly.. i have no ideas how to cut down!

ive always been quite lucky that im naturally slim and when i had my twins i was back in my jeans within 2 weeks-im hoping ill be lucky again this time!

i know i will put on weight as im eating more generally-like always eating breakfst etc.

i think some sugary things wont do too much harm as long as you are eating healthy as well. i try and make sure i eat some fruit and veg aswell.

Hi

I can't stop eating all the wrong things at the moment, I'm approching 12 weeks at the weekend!!!

Since I found out I was pregnant I went off all fruit, veg and salad type stuff and seem to start craving things like; white bread & butter, crisps & chocolate and all very plain and stodgy foods. My midwife has said go with it for now as it might just be my body craving salts (yeah right I'm just greedy)
I detirmined after my 12 week scan (next tues) that providing everything goes okay I'm going to seriously look at my diet and start eating healthier and try and get back into an exercise pattern (I did exercise at least 3 to 4 times a week) and now.....nothing!!!! I'm too tired!!!!
