Can any of the experienced mums or mums to be tell what the first movements feel like and when you started to feel them?
I've had like sharp pains in my lower abdomen for about a week. When I mean sharp, I mean like a twinge - nothing worrying. It is difficult to understand if it is my intestines or if it's baby. I've seen on some sites that the first movements are like air bubbles or like pop corn popping. If that's so then I've got that too but it's way toooo high to be baby so it must be air.
Any clues?
Thanks L

I have been feeling movements since about 14 weeks, was like butterlfies at first but then after a couple of weeks of that, I got little kicks that feel like being flicked at from the inside, like little twinges at first. Now I get kicked all the time mainly my bladder... Hmmm! I can feel baby wriggling around a lot, and he/she jumps at loud noises too poor thing!
It's different for everyone though, I wasn't expecting to feel movements as early as I did. But the scan lady did say that baby was exceptionally active lol so maybe that why I can feel so much, it took her ages to get the measurements at my scan because he/she wouldn't stop wriggling!

I felt the first movements at about 18 weeks and the best way I can describe them is like a nerve twitching low down in my belly. Getting loads of proper kicks now and can tell when she's turning over, strangest feeling in the world but it's the best! How far along are you now? Hope you're well,

By date I'm 15+4 but by gestation I'm 16+4 (I must've ovulated earlier than I thought).
Thanks again.

I know that I started deff feeling my baby move 2 weeks ago, but now I know what it feels like, I have been feeling the baby move for a while!! It's kind of hard to describe, kind of like a spasim/twitching/butterflies. It's very likey that it is the baby you can feel!! I kept thinking it was wind, or my stomach digesting food!!! Hope that you can feel your baby more often ... it's about the right time!! Janice & 19+2 week sprog!!! xxx
