Hiya

Youl need to ring tax credits people once baby is born, if your household income is under £15,000 (i think..) then then send you a seperate exemption card.

Maternity expemption card is definately only for free dental treatment and prescriptions.

Hope this helps..

Not if your not on any benefits. I was on job seekers income based when i was pregnant & managed to get a free eye test & a voucher off my new glasses. The maternity exemption card is only for prescriptions & dental treatment doesnt include eye tests. It stupid really.

P.s
Also if you do get a eye test if your on benefits & its not been longer than 2 years & your prescripotion hasent changed then you have to pay for the test.
