I'm 5 weeks pregnant and it feels like i'm just waiting for it to happen.
My last pregnancy it started at 7 weeks until 14 weeks. although i wasn't sick that often I felt sick morning, noon and night! Everything made me gag even brushing my teeth. Haven't experienced any...yet. I was told last time around that its a sign of a good pregnancy so in someways I want it to happen. Can't win can we!

Hi, I'm in my second pregnancy , week 10, sick as a dog like I was last time! Don't worry as it should pass by week 12 to 16, and it does get less and less. Try eating small things constantly. DOn't let your blood sugar levels drop. Even plain oat cakes help! Good luck!

I am now 21 weeks pregnant and cant believe it after 16 weeks of pure hell!!! sick 24/7! Hopefully your sickness wont be as bad, I ended up having to have some injections and tablets but when it was at its least offensive, the usualy things do work.

1- Dont move around too quickly in the morning or after standing.
2- Eat some biscuits or toast before you get out of bed
3- Avoid Rich or spicy food especially the night before, makes being sick the next morning 10 times worse!
4- Eat little and often - I found oatcakes and some plain cheese with a little strawberry jam on helped - one every so often! If you get low blood sugar that also makes things worse.
5. Try homeopathic remedies _ I found Ginger tincture and Sepia helped loads but seek someone qualified.
6. GO AND BUY SOME SEASICK/TRAVEL BANDS I lived in mine. Put them on before you get out of bed or move and leave them all on day till you go to bed!

Hope this helps!!

Hiya hope I can help. I suffered with morning sickness from almost day one. I was sick first thing in the morning, after my evening meal and sometimes before bed. I didnt take remedies and things like that, I just accepted it was part of being pregnant and tried to enjoy it. (if you can)
Its really funny, cos as much as I hated it and it hurt wretching I was worried when I wasnt sick for a day. I thought whats wrong with the baby. It made it worst when I brushed my teeth. When I told this my midwife, she said to brush my teeth in the morning and only use mouth wash at night. I stopped being sick once id had my scan at 12 weeks.(not sure if worry was a factor in it all) Now im 24 weeks and have a very active baby body popping around my tummy at all times of the night.

I hope you feel better soon.

Thinking of you.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well.
I started with nausea by 4 weeks, adn I am 8 weeks now with no significant sign of improvement. I am struggling at work, even though I am only vomiting once every day or so - I have had to tell my boss already.

None of the usual remedies seem to help, I have tried:
sea bands, vitamin b (cant remember which one now) ginger, small meals, no meals, rest, exercise, and none of it has helped me, but some friends have has some successes. I am planning to go to my GP tomorrow and see about getting something else even if it is only advice.

I know I sound like I am whingeing, and I do know I am nowhere near as bad as a friend who is 4 weeks ahead of me, but unfortunately that doesnt make me feel better

If anyone has any other "cures" I will try just about anything!

At least it usually goes by weeks 12 - 14, so only 4 more to go!

Hope you are faring better and congratulations!

Hi,

My sister had extreme sickness when she was pregnant - she used to suck a sweet when she was at work to get rid of the feeling.

As for how long it lasts - I have no idea

I am currently feel sick all the time but not being sick. I am not sure if I am pregnant yet
"Sounds silly, but works!"

I'm 12 weeks pregnant and just out of the worst of the sickness but I did have it really, really bad. The only things that worked for me were travel sickness bands and coca - cola. I don't know why but some one advised me to try it and it has been a godsend! I've heard that Lucozade is good too
