Anyone who's read my last few posts will know that my 11 week old son suffers terribly with wind and everytime I feed him its a nightmare. We've tried various bottles, teats, feeding positions, colic remedies, milk etc etc etc - you name it we've tried it.
I've spoken to the health visitor again today and she suggested if things don't improve he may need to see a dietician to rule out a lactose intolerance, although she says he does not really show the symptoms of this and thinks its more likely he will grow out of it as he gets older.
I'm just feeling really useless today, all I want to do is help my little boy. Someone please tell me it gets easier?
Sorry, just wanted to get that off my chest

was the exact same as yours. It was 18 years ago and still gives me nightmares and shudders. Spent the first 12 weeks crying myself and running to the Childrens hospital. Dreaded feeding times as it was going to start all over again.
At 12 weeks he was diagnosed and from then on given a px milk called Wysoy and changed into a different baby overnight. Although, I have also been told that colic which has no cause goes away at 12 weeks too so you haven't long to go. It will get easier, I promise

its not reflux is it? is he sicky? i know that infant gaviscon is good for that. ben was a nightmare for a few weeks when he was first born, really squirmy after a feed and kicked his legs and had loads of wind and i changed to aptamil but you need to give it a couple of weeks to take effect. ben sorted himself out over time, i noticed a differece around 12 weeks. it is also suggested that early weaning can help but this is a very peronal choice. hth tina x
