Well we couldnt wait, we went for the scan today to see if we could find out the sex, was great to see the baby the little heart there beating, baby has grown so much! Was great and the heads gotten really large, also babys flipped over and was facing the other direction now, and finally OH got to see Bean, as he hadnt seen other scans. I could tell he was excited when we saw the legs and arms moving.
On the down side they couldnt see the sex, well the equipment wasnt exactly state of the art, the scan i had at 14wks was clearer but hey not bad for a fiver! So we are going to wait until 20wks any way, which i dont mind really. Also he put me back by one week, my notes say im 16wks+1wk which to me is 17wks i dont know but he put my due date at 18th, i dont believe that though my last scan was bang on what i shouldve been so i dont see how i can go back! Maybe bby measured small, but all looked good, i saw notes he wrote could just about read them, said alls fine no abnormalities activity good, said something was unstable which worried me, dont know what though.

Im not going to worry though baby is healthy hearts beating, i saw it there ticking away and cant believe how big Bean is getting! Just another 3-4 weeks ill know if its a pink or blue bean!

bless him he was watching so intently, he could get over the size of babys head, i did remind him gently its his child what did he expect haha he loved it, he asked how it managed to somersault in such a small space, i said babys still quite small and its like being in a swimming pool! Im glad he saw movement too because im never sure if its me or the way theyre moving the scanning thing but no OH saw it too and was great! I can honestly say im not sad about not knowing the sex, im actually considering waiting until 9months now as it just doesnt seem as important, im so happy. I just dont like when they put me back in time, makes me worry and makes the journey seem longer!

i was told that the earlier scans are more acturate for dating the baby as they all tend to grow at the same rate early on, but differ later on in the term... seems as though the babies don't listen to the due date anyway

ohh so happy for you that you saw all was ok!
sorry that you couldn't get everything you wanted from it, but as you say, good to see the heart beating healthily!
