Hi there.
I am writing thison behalf of my girlfriend. A few weeks ago she was compaining of sore/tender breasts and she was constantly feeling tired. Also her abdomen started feeling hard and tender. We did a couple of tests which showed very faint lines. We weren't sure what to make of these results so we bought a 5 pack of tests and have done them all and they have all said positive. Things were hunky dorey till last night - we had sexual intercourse and afterwards there was a tiny bit of blood. This morning she did another test and it came up negative. We are now thinking she has miscarried. Does anybody have any advice about this? Are we right to think that or is this something that can happen?
She has a doctors appointment next week but we are both very anxious.

It is common to have a bit of bleeding after sexual intercourse, but at the same time a negative pregnancy test does not seem good!! It may be faulty, so it could be worth trying another on (the Digital ones are great, clear blue or something)! It could also be worth calling your GP and seeing if you can have an earlier appointment!! How far gone was/is the pregnancy??? I think it's a case of getting your girlfriend checked out by her GP, or having a scan to see what is going on!!! I wish you both the best, Janice x.

Cheers for replying. The pregnancy would have been in the very early stages, we were just waiting for confirmation from the docs. She has just been on the phone and said she's had some more very slight bleeding this morning so I am now fearing the worst.

..dunno if its worth adding but the blood is more of a pink colour, very thin and only a few drops of it.

have to ring your GP to get a scan at an early pregnancy unit at your hospital, some women bleed in early pregnancy and theres no explanation for it sometimes little pockets of blood are in the womb and don;t harm the baby sometimes not hope everything works out well let us know
