I looooove Bio Oil. I cover myself in Palmers stretch mark cream and then Bio Oil. Have got very few stretchmarks so far, the ones I've got have faded quite a bit already. I think getting some stretchmarks is unavoidable but at least you can help them fade etc with good creams...

"Bio oil" Posted by nikkiw 4 September at 18:42
I've used palmers stretch mark cream every morning out of the shower, and bio oil every night before bed, from above knees to above boobs, front and back, and I don't have any (yet!!!!!!!! touch wood!!!!!) so I'd recommend.
I've heard people say it's genetic, and my mum got loads with me but like I say - at the moment, I seem to be safe so I'm thinking they're a good investment!!

"Use it it's great" Posted by angelwaves 4 September at 16:31
I used it all through my pregnancy and never got a single stretch mark. It lasts ages and I put it on morning and night.
It's on offer in Boots at the moment so a good time to get it is now!!!!!

"I got some............." Posted by misschiefy 4 September at 15:51
but found it too rich for my skin. Its also quite expensive. I used Palmers Cocoa Butter (the fragrance free one cos the smell of the normal one made me queasy!), Vaseline Intensive Care and Avent Indulgent Body Cream, which smells yummy. I don't have any (new) stretch marks from my pregnancy. Aqueous cream is good too, I used that on my boobs when they got dry. Its cheap to about £2.50 for a big pot from Superdrug.
It does depend on your skin type and some girls are more prone to stretch marks than others but I found as long as you kepy my skin moisturised, it was fine.

"Baby oil" Posted by spurgie 4 September at 16:38
i used baby oil when i was preg as my midwife told me all that matters is that the skin is moisturised, not so much what with. i didnt get a single stretch mark when i was preg!
midwife did also tell me though that if your mum got them, then chances are that you will too. i was lucky mum didnt have them either!
