that you can get to add to your diet - just sprinkle it on your food or in your drinks - that bulks up your poo so you pass it more easily and more frequently. can't help you with the name as the only one i know is a norwegian brand, but there must be something similar, maybe ask the chemist? it's helpful to have this when you can't eat as much fruit and such as would be preferable

"No but...." Posted by lisat7 5 September at 13:39
constipation can lead to dehydration which, in turn can bring about premature labour. Drink as much water as you can stomach and eat as healthily as you are able.
In addition, it may cause piles so look out for that too!!
Nice being pregnant isn ... ??

"Lots of water and fruit..........." Posted by misschiefy 5 September at 12:22
I had the same thing when I was pregnant. Try to go down the natural route of lots of fibre, fruit, orange juice and water before trying lactulose! I had some of that the day after Elise was born (cos I was worried I'd burst my stitches - TMI!!) but it stayed in my system for about 4 days and I felt like I was constantly pooping!!
Much love
Misschiefy & Elise (13 days old) xx

"How strange" Posted by sadclare 4 September at 19:38
I was gonna post this very question! My diet has gone to pot over the last week or so, long story but my nan is in hospital having a hip replacement and my grandad is 92 and can't do much for himself so I'm hardly at home at the mo and having to eat what I can when I can find time. It's totally cocked up my digestive system and I'm having exactly the same problem, was really worried today the baby was gonna pop out instead! Hope yours sorts itself out or the doc can help if not, not nice is it!
Love, Clare 30+4 xxx
