hi i went to see the midwife today and she said that folic acid is good for the baby would anyone be able to help me out abit about them are they actuli good for the baby or is there a risk should i start taking them thanks xx

and am still taking it now.
I'm on a high dose due to a genetic mutation but
the gyno said I've got to take all through the pregnancy.

Folic acid helps against Spina Bifida so it doesn't harm the baby.

It's recommended to take it for at leat the first 12 weeks if you can. I'm still taking it now.

yes, folic acid is very good for baby - it can help prevent conditions like spina bifidia i believe, it can be very benefical for developing baby

hiya,

take the folic acid, you don't say if you are pregnant or not but if you are or TTC then take it as it is really beneficial before getting pregnant and then throug to 3 months. It helps the baby form at an early age etc etc.

is brill to take during pregnancy infact you should start if you can taking it before you concieve it helps with the growth of the spine in the first few weeks redusking the risk of spina biefeda deffo take it you can buy it anywhere or get it on perscription i took mine until 12 weeks or you can take pregnacare or a similar vitamin for mpregnant women has all you need and includes folic acid xx
