please don't use clip on earings on under 3's, they are too easy for them to pull off and then they could choke on them!

I am in aggreement with all you ladies about the piercing! It is a nice treat later when they are old enough too.

i was joking about the clip ons didnt no they still did them lol
"My views on this are quite extreme..."

but i will try and tone them down as much as possible.

i think it is disgusting to get a baby's ears pierced, to put holes through a child's flesh for the sake of vanity...and not even the childs vanity but the parents...like someone else said it should be the person who's body it is to decide when they want to be pierced or even if they do...once the child is old enough to ask and know what they are on about then that is their choice...Lily was 4 when she first asked and we said no, she asked every year on her birthday after that and we kept saying no but on her 8th birthday she asked again and we realised she knew what she was asking and we told her what it would entail, she even went with Jas when he had his ear pierced so she could see it happen and she was adamant she still wanted it done...I hated myself for saying yes, but she had made the decision for herself and she went into it knowing what would happen.

I was in our local piercing & Tattoo place recently with Jas as he was getting his lip pierced and a woman came in with a baby, the baby looked about a month old and she said she wanted the baby's ears pierced, they told her they didnt use guns and that they used piercing needles and the mum said it wasnt a problem, the piercer just stood their looking at her in total shock before telling her she was a piercer not a monster and their policy was to pierce over 16's only...made me very very angry i wanted to scream at her!

we took Lily to Claire's accessories where they do double piercing, both ears at the same time to minimise the pain and shock etc...i still felt like a monster though *shudders*

oooh i ranted there sorry ladies *blushes*

"Not till there old enough"

i wuldnt get their ears pierced they have no say and they cry so it probably hurts them, wait till there old enough and treat them to it or something, ?

i have piercing i have ears nose belly nipple and tongue the only ones i got left now is my tongue bar and my ears, i took my belly button one out as i didnt want to stretch the hole and have a scar and my nipple one as every1 was tellin me to do it if i wasto breast-feed!! x
"I'm going to wait"
Posted by misschiefy 6 September  at  00:13

until Elise is old enough to make up her own mind on having her ears pierced. I was 10 when I had mine pierced and I asked my Mum if I could have them done. Didn't bother asking Mum on the 2nd and 3rd ones though, but I was a bit older then!

A friend of mine had her little 'un's ears pierced early on but she had to wait until the baby had her first batch of injections. I thought it was too soon but she had them done anyway.

Its another one of those personal choice decisions really.

"Ear piercing"

I think it's a horrible thing to do to a baby, They should make the choice when they are old enough. My friend had her ears pierced as a baby and hated her mom for doing it. (she took em out when she was bout 7)

At the end of the day tho she's your daughter and loads of mothers do it.
Clips on sound good tho. Hehe
Hope yourself & Carys are doing well.

"Sorry...."

but I hate it - I really do not like seeing babies with their ears pierced. I feel that it is something they should decide when they are older to have done rather than the parents decide and let the baby go through that pain.....

Let your baby be gorgeous as she is and save the ear piercing for later on.......

That's just my views

"Sorry but"

I don't think it looks lovely at all. They are babies. I can't take my own babies for their jags, I would never unneccessarily put needles in them.

Use clip ons if you think they're cute. please.

My ex SIL got my childs ear pierced, think he was 1 year old. Of course, I took it out immediately but the older me is typing this wondering why I never sent the police over to get her arrested. Big fat b@tch

"Hate it"

sorry to be so blunt but always felt really strongly bout this one. Don't understand why anyone would want to put holes in and inflict pain on a baby. The worst part of it is that you can usually only get it done on little ones at places like hairdressers and the like and they always use guns rather than needles, sooo much more painful! Proper piercers will always use a needle which hurts much less and is a much more professional method but a reputable piercer won't touch anyone under 16, that's why they're reputable I guess. My view on it is when kids are old enough to say they want it done and understand the implications then fine but til then they should remain hole-free. Really not trying to annoy anyone if their views are different, OH is a tattoo artist and I've probably spent too much time with opinionated piercers! Up to you at the end of the day but clip-ons look just as good.

its a hard one cos they say its best to get them done when little but whats the diff it still hurts the same! i havent had my other daughter taylors done cos i was going to wait for her to make the choice but seeing the other babys latley they look so cute and they have said there babies were fine having it done but i cant get past putting them threw the pain.

"Nope"

I don't think they look pretty or cute on children, they look horrible, why do people want their children to grow up so fast?

I had mine done at about 13, and they have closed up now, I didn't keep earrings in, but I'll be telling Eleanor that she can make her own mind up when she is a teenager.

Anyway, this is only my opinion and I apprecaite some women like to have their babies ears done!
