I went for my twelve week scan this week. Was lovely to see Little One on the screen, and the sonographer let us hear the heartbeat, too. She wrote in my notes thta she heard the heartbeat, and put a tick in the section of my notes that said 'Liquor'. Just wondered if anyone knows what that means?
Thanks everyone

I found it really odd that they call it liquor too! Sounds horrid!
How great was it to see your little 'un on the screen! And get to hear the heartbeat. Our hospital doesn't do that and you have to wait for your 1st mw appt to hear it. I'll bet the scan pic is in a frame and taking pride of place in your house! Ours still is and she's 15 days old now! So cute!

I see! Yes, that is a bit of a manky name I suppose.
Lol, our pictures are up, pride of place, on our fridge! I keep wandering over for a little look. It was so lovely to hear the heartbeat. I saw a member of the midwife team when I was seven or eight weeks and she said they didn't like to try and find the heartbeat that early as their machine doesn't always pick it up, and it can distressing when that happens, even though it's just their primitive machine. So it was really cool.
Aw it must be so lovely to finally have your little one!

It is the amniotic fluid that surrounds baby.
