Can anyone help me please?! Im 24 and was 6 weeks pregnant when i miscarried. I started miscarrying exactly 4weeks (or 1 month) yesterday - Tues 06th Feb and had an incomplete miscarry and bled for 11 days after. No one mentioned anythin about a D & C and everything was left to happen naturally. Last friday i started gettin light period pains and i had this all weekend (which is unusual for me as i normally only get pain for a few hours on the first day i start my period) then yesterday i come on my period but i had period pain all day yesterday, and ive had it all day so far today and im bleeding quite heavily. Is this normall after a miscarriage? The nurse told me not to expect to see my period for 6 - 8 weeks coz of letting everythin happen naturally so i was quite shocked yesterday when i started bleeding. Ive only had 17 days of no bleeding from my miscarriage to my period starting.

Hi, so sorry to hear your sad news.

This happened to a friend of mine, her bleeding didnt turn out to be an actual period, but she was bleeding so heavily & i pain because not everything had left her body and she needed a d&c to clear the rest out otherwise you could get an infection. Please see your doctor or a midwife as soon as poss just incase the same is happening to you.
Good luck for your future x
