its the in thing to have 2 birth partners at the moment. My Mum did offer to my 2nd birth partner but as much as I love her, she would have driven me nuts!

but I had to go to theatre to have my little boy by forceps and then I think then it goes down to 1. They cant afford to have too many people about cos it can all get a bit rushed and panicky when you go to theatre.

I don't think they mind too much. I went in with my OH to be joined by my mum and sister - if they are out the way I don't think they'd have minded if I had a couple of other ppl in - but my birth was straightforward and I only had one midwife and he had his mind on the job lol! As long as its not crowded and no one is too loud or trying to help too actively I think I could have had a couple more.

check with your hospital mine won;t allow more than 2 people in the labour room * not inc yourself* i think it differes from hospital to hospital xx

they allow a few, a friend of mine had her husband, mother, sister and MIL ...

as Rach said, it prob varies so check with MW - I only had OH there and he got on my nerves lol ...

i only had my partner.
my friend had her partner, mother and MIL.
another friend had her partner, mother and nan!

think you allowed a few? your in your own room so dont think it really matters but might vary from each hosp so might want to check with your MW.

i cant even imagine being in labour!! silly i know! but it just feels like ive eaten a little toy that moves my belly a few times and im getting fat lol!!


i really want my mum and boyfriend their, but i cant tell my bf that i want both in coz hel get the arse with it i think!
