"3rd degree tears ..anyone ??"

hey i posted on this a while back and didn get much response..hoping some of the newer members might have some advice or experience...

i had my daughter 2 yrs ago and i had a 3rd degree tear... involved my pelvic floor and sphincter muscle... and it was 11 wks before i could sit properly ... i have full continence (yipee!!) whch not everyone regains but im now 36+1 with babby 2 and im bricking it... really scared that i could have worse this time, the midwife has talked about perineal management in labour but just seems like pot luck whether i get a good mw on the day. I feel like i dont trust my body to do it properly and also this baby is bigger than my girl who was 6.15lb (scan on fri estimated him to be 6lb 4 already)

i could go for a c section but theres no real reason to as the risks are higher and i have a very widely separated tummy muscle which will apparently increase c section healing time ( not great with a toddler and new born) plus the thought of surgery scares me ..

thus my mind keeps going round n round in circles and i cant seem to rationalise it... cant find any web pages with useful info or any personal experience stories....

not much phases me usually but this one thing most definitely does !!!
