"Could i be pregnant?"

I'm 18 years old and came off the pill about 2 months ago. Me and my boyfriend aren't particularly trying but we just thought we would let it happen naturally. We have sex near enough every day normally twice or more if that way inclined.

Last month my period came as normal but this month I was 6 days late and my period was very very light which is unusual because im normal very heavy at least to start with. Overall my period only lasted about 3 days most of which was spotting really which is strange because i am normally on for at least 6-7 days and have been known to bleed for 10days.

the only other differences i have noticed is that i am always thirsty therefore drinking more water and consequently unrinating more. i also nearly threw up the other day when i was cooking chicken as i found the smell absolutley repulsive then again maybe it's just my cooking??

Anybody think i might be pregnant/experienced anything similar?I would do a home test but because its on such a wim i know i would be disappointed if it was negative!

I think that it's possible as some women can experiance symptoms of pregnancy as little as a couple of days after conception, but there are also symptoms of stopping the pill, nausea and frequent urination isn't one as far as i know, i understand what you mean about the neg result it can be so disheartening!! I'm 18 too and i would love to have a baby, i came off the pill a couple of weeks back and i have been getting symptoms of pregnancy for about the last week most of them actually! It is known that some women can concieve as soon as they stop taking the pill so maybe that what has happend with us! i hope so hehe the best thing to do it test 3/4 weeks after you think you may have concieved, hope this helps let me know how u get on ...hey we could be too expecting mummys!

Hi ladies,

Just read what you said about pregnancy symptoms and coming off the pill. I stopped mine in Jan and for the last 2 weeks have had a few symptoms, nausea being the main one. I went to my GP and was told it's very common, especially if you were on a lose dose pill. I was advised to wait 3 months or so for it to come out my system, but as I'm nearly 33 I'm not waiting that long! Good luck with you're results!
