"I've had spotting!!!!!!!"

i did a google search to see if i could find others experiencing the same problems i am and came across so many useful sites. i would like to share my stories with you. i already have 2 healthy children, perfectly normal births and pregnancies. in january this year i found out i was pregnant with my third and much to my dismay i miscarried several weeks later at 9 weeks and 5 days, this started off as a pink tinge on the tissue when i wiped then progressed to proper bleeding then i just gushed 2 days later and i knew that was it, but that pregnancy even though i had a couple of symptoms (sore breasts and sickness) i didn't feel pregnant from the start.

now i am pregnant again my last LMP was 26th april 07, i already knew i was pregnant before i did the test, and my symptoms came thick and fast, suffering from everything possible. then at 5 weeks 1 day i felt an almighty pain and started bleeding, red blood dripping as i went to the loo, these got worse over the following hour, i was admitted to hospital where they ran tests and arranged for a scan the following day, my bleeding stopped after 4 hours. the scan showed the foetal sac (sadly more couldn't be seen due to it being so early), they also detected an area of seperation in more womb (also known as a haematoma or 'bleed'), they told me to take it easy and had me back in for a scan 10 days later. the area of seperation had halved in size and the foetus was showing a good heartbeat.

then at 8 weeks 3 days i had sex for the first time since the last bleed, this started me off with a strange dark brown discharge, this continued for 5 days (but only after i had had a bowel movement) then subsided i had another ultrasound at 9 weeks 4 days and the whole area of seperation had gone and the baby was still showing a good heartbeat, it even gave us a wiggle. then the brown spotting started again at 10 weeks, the doctor has just told me not to worry, but no explanation as to what it is. from doing my own research i personally think its an infection but doctors will not touch me down there with my history until i am 16 weeks. so anyone else suffering similar i would advise you not to worry. also i wouldn't advise bed rest for anyone, whilst you're laying there doing nothing your thinking about all the bad things that can happen and anxiety can be dangerous for an unborn baby. if the worst is going to happen it will regardless of whether your laying in bed or running a marathon. just keep yourself entertained and stay positive.

hi chez

I had spotting when i was about 9 weeeks pregnant and at one stage lost a significant amount of blood, however, my 12 week sacn showed everything was fine and the doctors i spoke to said that aslong as the bleeding didnt get worse or wasnt accompanied by cramps then you are ok! best wishes x x

I had spotting 10-12 weeks, the midwife said it was a late implantation bleed as mine was brown ish...How are you feeling ? Is it red, do you have pain?

Hi

Thanks for your reply, I don't really have any pain apart from the normal streching pain with pregnancy, it was brown in colour, but yesterday it was bright red when I went to toilet. sorry if tmi.

and it seems to have gone back to brown again today..

Got another scan tomorrow to check all ok as had a missed miscarriage last sept and I was 12 weeks and 2days pregnant then.

so a little worried..

"Awwww"
