"Worried - started bleeding"
Posted by jodie2304 22 September  at  14:16

When i woke up this morning i noticed that i was bleeding slightly (when wiping) i went to A and E at hospital as we was in a panic. All my stats blood pressure etc were good and the Dr felt my stomach which he said was soft (seemingly that is normall according to him at 8 weeks 1 day. I have to go to the early pregnancy unit for an ultra sound scan but they cant fit me in untill 9 am on wednesday. The hospital told me to go home and rest and try not to worry. I have no pain only the odd twinge over the last few weeks

Has this happened to anyone on here? and has things come out good in the end for you?

Thanks

Worried jodie

bleeding at 5, 8, 12 and 16 weeks!! Only when I wiped, but there was a bit of blood!!
I was terrified as I've already had 2 MC's, and an ectopic, so I was worried sick!!
Each time, my GP was a god send (knowing what I have already been through), and made sure that I got scanned straight away (or the following morning at the latest)!!!
Thankfully, I'm now 27+2, and everything seems to be fine!!
I think some women just bleed a little!!!

Hope that all is well, and please keep us all informed!

Janice

"I was admitted to early preg assessment centre on friday..."

I Started to bleed on Thursday evening and panicked. I was told to see my GP the next day and they would assess whether I needed to be seen at hospital for an early scan.

The blood was fresh, bright red but not like a period and only when I wiped. But because I had some really sharp (take your breath away pains) and had carried on through the night, the Dr got me in the same day, because they were concerned it could be ectopic.

I had my scan and saw my tiny jelly bean and heard its little heart pumping away. But because I was over 8 weeks, I have been told today that I won't get another scan at 12 weeks. Because they have seen a heartbeat and the pregnancy is viable, they don't see the point in me having another one!

I'll keep everything crossed for you, just take it easy and make sure you get looked after.

i hope that you are feeling a bit better now

i had bleeding between around week 5 to 8 - had a scan at week 7 and all was well - i think some people just bleed and others don't, one of those things. try to be calm and focus on the fact that everything is ok
so many changes are happening atm, that it's not a shock that we bleed.
and yeah, my tummy was soft still at that stage too
all is still going very well for us at the 20 weeks mark kicking and wriggly away!

I know people who have bled throughout pregnancy hun, and had a beautiful baby at the end of it. I know its hard but try do what the doc said and rest and put your feet up, just take it easy for a few days.

I know these days till your scan will be hard but just try think postive hun, its a good sign that you havent had any cramps.

What colour is the blood, is it fresh or old, brown? TMI

I really hope it all works out well for you
