Hi Ladies, babies & bumps,
well i had the scare of my life yesterday afternoon, im 19+4 with our second baba, and it was about 4.30 so OH still at work and my little boy was with me and all of a sudden this pain happened at the very bottom left hand side of my bump which literally took my breath away and i couldnt stand upright at all, it had me doubled over in pain and the only position i could get comfy in was sort of bent from the hips and supporting my weight with the top half of my body.
My little boy really panicked seeing mummy in pain and i was trying so hard not to show it in front of him, but i had tears streaming down my face and just couldnt stand up cause of this horrible pain.
Anyway Oh got home shortly after it started and had a bit of a shock and told me to ring delivery suite which i did and they talked me though a load of things ie has my toddler kicked / punched me there, have i been going to the loo etc etc which everything was fine and then the mw said that she wasnt sure what it could be maybe the start of a water infection but to put my feet up and relax as much as posible last night, well got off the phone to her and within about half hour the pain was starting to go away and i could get into a more upright position and now im fine again no pains what so ever!!!
It really really scared me as i have already had a little boy 22 months ago and the pain was nothing like i can describe, has anyone ever had any funny pains like this at all that can be explained??
I thought it maybe little one kicking away on my kidneys to cause so much pain but really not sure??
Any advice would be much appreciated
lots of love Becky, Josh (22 months) & 19+4 uncoloured bump xxxxxx

your ligaments suddenly being stretched........ you are at the same stage as me and if I move off the sofa suddenly or like last night I sneezed the pain down below was terrible, however mine went in a couple of minutes but it is horrid
Is the MW going to investigate further?

Hiya natalie,
thanks for your reply, im really not too sure if it was my ligaments, it felt like an internal pain right in the bottom of my bump but also reaching around to the bottom of my bum too???
Am trying to take it slightly easy today as i can still feel a niggle at times but my son has other ideas and wants to play and run around- bless him!!!!
No the MW just said to put my feet up and take it as easy as i can and if any further problems i was to call her back, im just hoping it goes away and maybe baby was in an awkward position and causing me pain.
Anyway i have got my 20 week scan this time next week so hopefully alls well and i can stop worrying xxxxxxxx

make sure you take it easy - if you have stretched some sort of muscle or ligament then you will feel sore for a bit - are you feeling okay now....?
had to laugh about message re the poo! I can relate to that - sometimes feel really clogged up and think that perhaps the space is limited down there due to various things like poo, wee and baby all needing room - sorry if tmi ;0)
Are you feeling any movements with your baby?
My scan is Friday - cannot wait ;0) Natalie

Hi natalie,

yeah feeling babs move quite often now, mostly when im sat down and not running about after our DS, how about you, you feeling much?
Oh lucky you, i bet you cant wait for your scan, you must let me know how you get on?? I know i cant wait for mine and i have got another week yet!!!!!

Its good that we can say what we think on here without being laughed at (well not much anyway). I also worry that when I have a poo (sorry tmi again!) that I will push out the baby also - does anyone think this or am I completely barking....
anyway, yep Baby Rice is moving about now, mostly throughout the day but does have its quiet spells. Its cool as Mark can put his hand on my tummy and feel it now which is lovely..... Sometimes the feelings can be quite uncomfortable and they are only going to get bigger!
Will let you know re the scan - Friday cannot come soon enough although I will be nervous too!

Hiya tina,
thanks for your message, i am now but havent been for a while, i have been suffering badly with constipation and after bottles and bottles of orange juice that seems to have done the trick, i was thinking it could have maybe been that as i hadnt been for a day or so but i didnt have any pains like that when i hadnt been for about 5 days!!!! xxxxxxx

Morning Becky
I had a similar thing happen yesterday (I'm 39+5) and convinced myself it was the start of labour (first baby so no idea what to expect!) Pain was almost unbearable for part of the day but has completely eased off this morning. Spoke to delivery suite earlier and she said the same thing - could be urine infection if I suffer any pain going to the loo today but I havent had any trouble so far.
She also said it could have been practice contractions but its probably a bit soon for that for you (if practice ones hurt that much not sure how I'm going to cope with real ones!!)
Sorry couldnt help but glad your feeling better now. Shelley xx 39+5
