Hi everyone!

Im 17 weeks pregnant with my first, and I keep reading everywhere that by now I should be visably pregnant, have larger breasts and feels some fetal movement...yet Ive had none of this! In fact I dont even feel pregnant anymore! Im really worried that come my next scan (3rd april) that they will say there is no baby in there anymore because of all these things! I was just wondering if anything i am experiencing has been experienced by anyone else?

Im such a worry wort and worry about everything! wish I could relax!

"Baby or gas?"
Posted by cherryici 16 March  at  03:04

I haven't felt any movement as of yet either...or maybe i could have...i really don't know because i stay so full of gas as of late...the fluttering could be baby or fart...lol... no way to tell. just stay calm some women dont feel a thing untill 22 or 24 weeks along...its normal for some to feel nothing until a lil further on.

Dont worry about the movement thing just yet, I was 22 weeks before I felt anything, and my sister was 24 weeks before she felt anything.
As for not feeling pregnant, Im now 24 weeks
and still dont feel pregnant!!

I worry so much im paranoid 24/7... but just relax and think about whats growing inside you... Best wishes hun!! Keep in touch xxxxxx sarah xxxxxxxx

Heya Sarah...

Thanks so much for your reply, Im glad im not the only worrier out there! I always think worse case scenario and know its no good for me or baby! Im just sooo excited about it and want everything to be o.k. that im now so scared in case its not going to be ok (if that makes sense!) so you will be due a week before me...when i tell people i am due in august they always say "ohhh you poor thing your going to be sooo hot with a big bump over summer", supposed to be a really warm one too so eeeek! It would be really good to keep in touch and let each other know how things are going...its nice to talk to someone in same position as me! When is your next scan? Mine is 3rd april and im sooo nervous, going to find out the sex as well which will be exciting! diana x x x

I am also due in august. the 18th supposedly...lol...can be sooner or later. people say that mess to me too "oh my, you gonna be so hot and uncomfortable you poor thing" no i'm not...lol. I am determined to have a nice comfortable summer in front of any air conditioner i can find and enjoy this pregnancy. remember this is the gift of life and this is a gift from god and the lil discomforts wont mean a thing. so the next time someone makes that comment let them know "so what, no big deal. it's all worth it in the end". besides think about all those cute little maternity sundresses your gonna get to slip on. could you imagine fighting to put on some boots and jeans with tights and those hot wool sweaters when you hit the 9 month mark...please...no way!

"Dont worry"
Posted by glowgal 14 March  at  11:41

try not to worry, i am 17 weeks tomorrow, and dont look pregnant yet either, still slim and no bellly, just thinker about my waistline, but no bump.
and i felt one tiny flutter a few days ago, if you are slim it and its your first pregnancy it will be hard to feel it moving, sometimes it feels like bubbles, and its so quick you dont realise.
i was so worried that i cant feel anything my midwife let me listen to the heartbeat, and there it was beating away at 147, so relax x
"Heartbeat wow!"
Posted by diana247062 15 March  at  16:01

thankyou so much for your reply, wow i am going to see if i can get to listen to the heartbeat at my next scan. I bet that was amazing. I think me and you are at exactly the same stage in our pregnancies because i am 17 weeks today! it was just easier in my message to say 17 weeks rather than 16 weeks and 6 days!! keep in touch x x
"Yes im 17 weeks today"

"Due on 22nd"
Posted by diana247062 16 March  at  15:33

Im due on the 22nd apparently! aww you are due on my birthday!!! have a feeling mine will come on my birthday, the best present ever huh! Just got so much uni work to do before then...and have to relocate to another town! but hopefully that will be all done by end of may and i can RELAX!! xxx

Hey, I'm actaully so glad that i stumbled upon your post. I'm trying my best not to worry too.. I'm 18 weeks and 6 days and I'm hardly showing! My mom keeps sayin "you better becareful", she says I'm squeezing the baby down because I'm still wearing my normal jeans- which i can still fit into! I know she's being rediculous but I can't help but worry! My lecturer just the moment said to me i don't look 19weeks either! I try and rely on the little tiny movements i feel ( which i provoke actually) I make sure baby is up when I'm up- i give my belly a little tap in the morning and i speak to him/her, and usually i get a response if i'm very patient and still. But as i go on my day to day travels i don't really feel anything and i don't even feel pregnant either! So I'm glad there's others in the same boat. Also you mentioned uni... I have so much uni work to do to, and I can't wait until May too when things settle down a bit, so hopefully i can enjoy my pregnancy more! As for everyone saying "you're going to be hot..." (as I've had the same comments) at the end of the day, everyone's going to be hot in the summer, and thankfully we have an excuse to put our feet up, get a little tan and drink a lot of lemonade and juice on ice! So ladies, think of it that way!! So what are you studying at uni and what yr are you in? Feel free to private message me if you don't want everyone knowing your bizz! Hope you're feeling okay, all the best, Momtobe x

HIieveryone,

I am 22 weeks and last week I felt a lot of flutters, this week I do not feel as much. Is this normal for it to be so inconsistent?

I get so nervous! Another worry wart!!
"Me too"
Posted by kirsty1984 29 March  at  12:28

I was exactly the same. I didnt have much of a bump and didnt really feel baby move. I was quite worried and was glad to get my scan and know everything was ok. Ever since then he moved about and kicked like crazy and my bump started growing quicker. Dont worry about a little bump it would be much worse if you were massive.
I went from a 27 inch waist to 44 inches!
