Hi

I had similar pains too, and was worried every time I went to the toilet, checking for blood, but I'm 14 weeks now and they stopped about two weeks ago.

As for stress, you need to do everything you can to stay calm - sounds easier than it is, I know, but this baby might even help you deal with the situation and help you through it, giving you inspiration to look after yourself.

If you want to vent to someone, please feel free to pm me, I'm happy to listen!

Hello!
Can anyone help?
Im about 8 weeks pregnant and I have been having sharp vaginal pains. Is this normal?
I'm 35 and this is the first time i've been pregnant. I've been trying for 17 years, so as you can appreciate, i'm really worried. I've been under alot of stress, as my partner left me 4 weeks ago:0(
If anyone can help, please get in touch.

Just wanted to say how strong I think you are.
About the vaginal pains.... I had them and still have them now and im 27 weeks pregnant. It will be all your inside giggling around. If you've not been pregnant before like I hav'nt, pregnancy is a real worry. In the begining I rang and spoke with NHS direct. They will put you through to a midwife and they will be able to advise you. Now I just speak to my midwife. You wont stop worrying about your baby until its in your arms and then you'll still worry.

Try not to worry or get stressed as the baby will sense it. Plenty of women bring childen up alone. Im sure you'll do an excellent job.

Good luck to you and your little bundle.

if it feels like your being zapped with a cattle prod, then im afraid so, lol. dont know if its nerves, or ligaments, or what the hell it is. i used to get it all the time. the worst time was when i went to the supermarket.the pain shot right up, i yelped like a poodle and the lady in front of me in the queue nearly had a heart attack. . it was so embarrassing. it got to the stage my mum wouldnt take me anywhere, lol. so you are ok. if your worried talk to your mw. good luck
