26 weeks is 6 and a half months, 29 weeks is 7 months 1 week.
Gestational diabetes usually begins in the second half of pregnancy, and goes away after the baby is born.
It can be detected by testing a urine sample for sugar, if it is found then you will be asked to have a glucose tolerance test.
Hope this helps x

if that is correct then i would be at least 6 months right now. since i have been going by the last time i got my period. which was on oct.15,2006-oct.21,2006.
and when they gave me my ultrasound, they said i was 17 1/2 to 18 weeks along and that was on feb.19th,2007.
then i fainted later on that week, and the hospital said i was a 20 weeker. whatever that means. my glucose test is on the 16th of april at 8am. so hopefully i am about 6 months or like you said 6 and a half months. i'm due july 23-24,2007. one of those days. feel free to write back.

How many days did your period normally last? I tried to work it out on a due date calculator on babycentre.co.uk. If its a 28 day cyle then it says you are 24 weeks and due on 22nd July 2007.
If you are struggling with the whole weeks and months thing just divide the weeks by 4. eg 24 weeks divided by 4 is 6 (months).
Hope this helps x
