i too had an unplanned pregnancy at the beginning of october last year. and my boyfriend of 2 years went mental at me and told me to get rid of it. but when we went for the first scan (because i had started bleeding) he changed so much, ive never saw anyone look so happy in my life. the sonographer told me that everythin was fine and not to worry. but i had to go back a week later where they told me i was having a miscarriage. he was really upset, we both were.
on a lighter note. i found out i was pregnant again 2 weeks after my miscarriage (currently 25 weeks)and my boyfriend couldnt be happier. he has a go at me now if i even think of doin anythin i shouldnt! he is over the moon i am pregnant again and expecting a lil boy.

I'm pleased to hear everyone's partner's took the news of their unplanned pregnancies well.
Unfortunately, i was with my partner at the time for a couple years, had been living together for a year and planning our wedding, then i found out i was expecting.
My fiance at the time told me i had to choose him or the baby....i chose the baby!
Was a single parent for 10 years, and although hard, i dont regret doing it alone...my son was the best thing that ever happened to me. His dad has been visiting him since he was 8 weeks old so everything turned out ok in the end!
Im now engaged and 19 weeks pregnant to my new man and sooo happy .... Good luck. Im sure if he loves you then it will all be ok x

I feel a bit better about it now. I should have had my period last monday and still hav'nt started. I hav'nt done a test as yet as I was really nervous. We have only been together for 7 months and although we have said we would like to have children, we both said we wanted to wait till we are married next year. I now have to pluck up the courage to do the test and then tell my partner if it is positive. Fingers crossed he is as pleased as your partners.

Thanks again xx

I'm 6 weeks + 5 days today and I found out about 2 weeks ago about my pregnancy

Was totally unplanned and I've only been with my fiance 7 months..

I told him and he was really pleased thankfully, he just said that a baby is always a blessing and never a curse

Hope all goes well for you honey

My pregnancy is totally unplanned, neither of us knew for a long while. My fiance, soon to be my husband was so excited about the whole ordeal he just couldn't contain himself. I have to admit i was kinda mad at him cuz he was all excited when i told him and i was in tears, but he loves us both and now neither of us can wait to have our first born!

I am having an unplanned pregnancy. i found out i was pregnant just a week ago and i am 1 1/2 months pregnant or around that. I done the test infront of my boyfriend of 3 months and when i found out it was positive i was upset but he was calm. He suggested a an obortion and i said no but now he is thrilled at being a dad and he is excited about every little progress in the pregnancy. i am just as happy now. I am 17 and he is 22 and have decided to start our family young despite the time length we have been together

good luck x x
"My sister did"

Hi,

My sister had an unplanned pregnancy and was dreading telling her husband.

She was expecting him to be furious! When she finally plucked up the courage to tell him he was shocked but very very happy. I think he was more excited than she was.

The truth is that you never know how someone is going to react. You just need to understand that it is going to come as a big surprise so dont get dispondent if he doesnt jump for joy straight away - try and remember that you have had a bit of time to get used to the idea and he will need that to.

I hope everything goes well for you and your baby!

Take care,
Wendy

I am nearly 7 months pregnant and mine was unplanned. I took the news worse than my partner, he was overjoyed and said he couldn't imagine having a child with anyone else. He is so excited and is always talking to her in my tummy lol. x

hi

I'm 16 weeks and found out I was pregnant at end of Jan. I was shocked, but happy - but also terrified, as my partner's ex got herself pregnant deliberately to trap him. They split before she even knew she was pregnant, and never got back together, and there is really bad feeling between them, although we have his daughter every weekend, she's lovely.

When I told him, I was sobbing my heart out, and he asked me why I was so upset - when I told him I was worried he would be an angry, he LAUGHED! He told me that our relationship is so much better, and that although we hadn't planned it, he was quite excited, if a bit nervous.

We're really happy about it now, and I can't wait until Sept, when I'm due... Are you already pregnant? Does he know yet?
